Brantley Praises Universal Health Care Initiative

Premier of Nevis Hon. Mark Brantley has praised the initiative for universal health care for all persons in the federation, which is under the guidance of Minister of Health Hon. Eugene Hamilton.

The Premier commended Hon. Eugene Hamilton for his work to make affordable healthcare available for all.

On October 22 the cabinet approved the green paper on universal health care that was submitted 2018. This green paper would serve as the central document for review of the possible options for the establishment of the national health insurance system within the federation.

Currently the commission is facilitating consultations to gather feedback from the public which would facilitate the consolidation of all responses to advise the formulation and submission of the white paper on universal health care by December 14th 2018.
