Brazil Assisting SKN

(ZIZ News) As the Regional Soil Management Workshop continues this week the participants are benefiting from the expertise of the facilitators from Brazil.

Erin De Silva is a researcher from the Brazil agriculture research company Embrapa.

He said some of the areas that Embrapa covers include “soil pedology, soil surveying, zoning, soil planning, agro-ecological zoning, and agriculture zoning”.

Participants have been drawn from across the region to discuss the best strategies in preserving and managing soil.

The workshop was held in conjunction with the government of Brazil and sessions are being held at the Department of Agriculture’s conference room.
