Call For Independence Participation

(ZIZ News) — Minister of Education, the Hon. Shawn Richards has called on all residents, particularly young people, to get involved in the upcoming Independence celebrations.

During a Back to School Address, Minister Richards said it’s important that the youth play a part in the activities.

“This is a most opportune time for us as a people to exercise our love for our native land and to demonstrate our patriotism. I call on all of our people, including our students and young people, to get fully and actively involved in all of the activities to commemorate and celebrate this glorious occasion,” he said.

On Monday 14th and Thursday 17th September, the schools will stage their individual patriotic programmes.

On those days, the government ministers are also scheduled to visit all schools across the nation.
