Disciplinary Sanctions Reshape League Standings

BASSETERRE: Point deductions have dramatically altered the Premier League table, with Village Superstars and defending champions St. Paul’s United both hit with sanctions for disciplinary violations.

Village Superstars lost two points, while St. Paul’s United suffered a significant six-point deduction. The penalties have had major implications for both teams; league positions and title aspirations.

Despite the sanctions, St. Paul’s have shown remarkable resilience. They embarked on a four-game winning streak, including a convincing 5-1 victory over SOL IAS Conaree FC. However, the penalty has them to sixth place with just 12 points from 10 matches.

Village Superstars currently occupy third position with 16 points, having recently secured their first win of 2026 with a 4-2 triumph over Development Bank St. Peters FC, ending a frustrating run of draws and defeats.

TGE Dieppe Bay Eagles broke their winless streak with a crucial 3-0 away victory over Bath United, earning their first three points of the 2025-2026 season.

The Eagles had endured a difficult campaign, managing just one draw in their opening nine matches while conceding 30 goals. Their struggles left them at the bottom of the table with only four points.
