(ZIZ News) – The Ministry of National Security plans to go above and beyond to ensure that residents and visitors to St. Kitts and Nevis are safe.
That ministry’s leader, Hon. Dr. Timothy Harris, committed himself to ensuring that resources are available for use by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force in its crime fighting initiatives.
He said, “No resource will be too much, no resource will be too much, once it is in our means mobilise for us to bring to ensure that our people and all who live here and pass through here could feel the peace and tranquillity which in our national anthem, we claim to abound here.”
Dr. Harris said the critical function of the state is to keep people in the jurisdiction safe. He promised that his government will make safety its top priority.
“I pledge as your minister, to give every support that I can, every support that the government can to ensure that the resources that you require and the support that you require to ensure that you effectively and efficiently deliver on this mission, that we bring those resources to bear,” he said.
The National Security Minister met with the High Command of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force on Wednesday March 4th.
