Minister of Education Hon. Shawn Richards chaired the meeting held at the Stanford Building, and called on Education Officers and other ministry officials to remember what their objective is.

Minister Richards said further that persons should take pride in what they are doing as they carry out their duties.

In stating that these are exciting times for the Ministry of Education, Minister Richards said, “If we’re up to the challenge , I think there are so many things that we can get into that would keep us busy. We would be able to look back and know we made a difference. That we were a part of life-changing educational programmes.”

Permanent Secretary of Education Mrs. Ionie Liburd Willett and Chief Education Officer Dr. Tricia Esdaille were present at the meeting.
