Four Teams Clinch Semifinal Spots

BASSETERRE: The race to the championship intensified on Wednesday, 26th November, as four exciting quarterfinal matches unfolded at Warner Park in the St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank Primary Schools Football Tournament. By the end of the action-packed evening, Saddlers Primary, Halliday-Smith Primary, Sandy Point Primary, and St. Pauls Primary all secured their places in the semifinals.

Saddlers Primary earned the first semifinal berth with a 4–1 victory over ICCS. Giantmalt Player of the Match Javior Caines scored twice, with Joel Hanley adding another and an ICCS own goal completing the total. London Govia-Williams scored for ICCS.

Halliday-Smith Primary advanced after defeating Edgar T. Morris Primary on penalties, following a 1–1 draw in regulation time. Malique Carty scored for Halliday-Smith and J’Shawn Phipps equalized for Edgar T. Morris.
In the penalty shootout, Halliday-Smith converted four penalties through Te’ Mahrion Lewis, Kyle Bridgewater, Malique Carty and Dionis Raposo, while J’Shawn Phipps scored the lone penalty for Edgar T. Morris. Halliday-Smith won 4–1, with Abraham Hernandez named Giantmalt Player of the Match.

Sandy Point Primary also needed penalties to overcome Dr. William Connor Primary after a 1–1 regulation result, with goals from Keandre Marryshow (Sandy Point) and Taslin Hodge (Dr. William Connor).
Sandy Point won the shootout 4–3, with successful penalties from Keandre Marryshow, Ayden Eddy, Inoch Shaw and Shavas Bergan. Dr. William Connor’s scorers were Yusain Chin, Kemar Clarke and Jequan Woodley. Raziel Wyatt of Sandy Point Primary claimed Giantmalt Player of the Match award.

In the final match, St. Pauls Primary dominated Beach Allen Primary in a 10–1 win. Giantmalt Player of the Match D’Nazri Harris and Traqauen Jules each scored hat tricks, while Jaii Leader added two goals and Denver Kelly and Jermaul Griffin added one each. Niquan Rodriguez scored for Beach Allen.

The semifinals will be held on Monday 1st December at Warner Park:

  • Saddlers Primary vs Halliday-Smith Primary at 4:00 PM
  • St. Pauls Primary vs Sandy Point Primary at 5:00 PM
