History highlighted during Tourism Awareness Month Heritage Walk

ZIZ News (Chaïra Flanders) — Officials from the Ministry of Tourism were given the opportunity to explore and experience what was described as breath-taking views following a Tourism Heritage Hike to Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park on Saturday.

The walk began at 6:30 am.

The hike, which was led by Heritage consultant, Leonard Stapleton, gave participants the opportunity to learn about the history of the trails and indigenous people.

Tourism Awareness Month is celebrated annually in November.

This year’s activities are being held under the theme, “Tourism: Refocused and We Focused”.
