ZIZ News — Chairwoman of the St. Kitts/Nevis Labour Party, Hon. Marcella Liburd is challenging Hon. Mark Brantley, Deputy Leader of the Concerned Citizens Movement, to publicly state his position on matter of secession.
Ms. Liburd’s challenge to Mr. Brantley came as she accused the opposition coalition, Team Unity, of hypocrisy.
She said that for a party that was promoting the concept of unity it was surprising that Mark Brantley was until recently a key player in the secession movement which, if successful, would result in the destruction of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.
“This is a man who say he is for unity but you know he was chairman of the secession committee…he has always been for secession and up to today Mark Brantley has not come out to the public and I am challenging him, let him come to the public and say what is his position currently on secession. I heard him one time saying whatever the people want, we want to know about you, what is your position, and you understand what the people want, what is your position”. Hon. Marcella Liburd.
