Luxe Carnival Equips Cayon High Athletes

Carnival troupe Luxe has donated a large supply of sports bags to Cayon High School’s athletic teams, arriving just as the school’s Sports Term reaches full intensity.

BASEETERRE – The contribution from one of St. Kitts’ premier carnival organizations comes at a critical moment when student-athletes are constantly traveling across the island for competitions, training sessions, and sporting events.

Carol Warner, Latoya Sobratie, Gavin Sobratie, and the entire Luxe team presented the stylish, durable bags to help students store and transport their sporting equipment more effectively.

“These bags will not only help them stay organized and prepared, but also allow them to travel with confidence, pride, and a touch of style—because how you show up matters,” the school stated in acknowledging the donation.

Cayon High School emphasized that the timing couldn’t be better, with athletes representing CHS across multiple venues during the busiest period of the athletic calendar. The bags will serve teams competing in various sports throughout Sports Term.

The school praised Luxe’s gesture as reflecting a broader commitment to youth development and community investment. “Your generosity speaks volumes about your commitment to youth development, community, and giving back,” officials noted.

School administrators expressed hope that this donation marks the beginning of a strengthened partnership between the educational institution and the carnival troupe.

The donation underscores a growing trend of carnival organizations engaging in community development initiatives beyond their traditional entertainment focus, using their platform and resources to support young people in St. Kitts and Nevis.

Cayon High School concluded their appreciation by noting their athletes are now ready to compete while “moving in style.”
