Nicha B qualifies for Semi Finals of the International Soca Monarch 

Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 28, 2020 (ZIZ News): Former Groovy Soca Monarch Nicha B has has made it to the semi finals of the International Soca Monarch Competition in Trinidad and Tobago.

International Soca Monarch is an annual soca music competition/fete event, the finals of which are held on every Carnival Friday (aka Fantastic Friday) in Trinidad and Tobago.

Contestants in the event vie for two separate crowns or titles, the Power Soca Monarch and Groovy Soca Monarch.

Nicha B joins 26 other artists vying for the Power Soca Monarch title: Among them, Blaxx, Skinny Banton, Shal Marshall, Rome, and Ding Dong.

The semi finals are scheduled for February 2 while the finals will be on February 22.

The 2019 Power Soca title was captured by Grenadian Hollis Mapp better known as Mr Killa, with his song “Run With It”. The Groovy title went to Marvin Davis better known as “Swappi” With “Party Start”
