Theft at Anglican Church; Manhunt underway

ZIZ NEWSROOM, Basseterre, December 30 2012: Police are looking for young man in connection with the theft of the offering at the St.Georges Anglican Church this morning.
According to a police statement, a manhunt is on for 22 year old Akeem Walters of New Road. He is considered armed and dangerous.
According to Police Commissioner Celvin Walwyn, shortly after eleven o’clock this morning a lone person came into the church and made off with the collection plate. No one else was in the church at the time. Walwyn says they are currently searching for Walters and he is urging him to turn himself in.
Anyone who has information about his whereabouts should call Crime Stoppers at 1 800 8477. Police are reminding everyone that if you call Crime Stoppers you do not have to give your name or number and you may be eligible for a reward.
