The Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park Society (BHFNPS) joins individuals and organizations locally and regionally in paying tribute to an illustrious Son of the Soil, who contributed significantly to the work of the Society. He served on the Council of the Society for many years, and as Honorary Treasurer from 1999 to 2013, a period of about 15 years. Sir Edmund served in that capacity until he was elevated to the esteemed position of Governor-General of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.
The Society values Sir Edmund’s stellar contribution to the important work of the Society in the restoration and enhancement of the Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park, which is a critical element of the St. Kitts tourism product. Consequently, the title of Honorary Governor of the Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park Society was conferred upon Sir Edmund on the 3rd of November 2022.
Sir Edmund’s life was one well-lived. His exemplary service to the people and country of St. Kitts and Nevis will not be forgotten. The Society, therefore, extends deep sympathy to his family and close friends, and mourns his passing.
May he rest in eternal peace!
