Georgetown, Guyana – The Trinbago Knight Riders secured their fifth Caribbean Premier League (CPL) title with a dramatic three-wicket win over the Guyana Amazon Warriors in a tense final on September 23, 2025, ending a five-year wait for the trophy.

Chasing a modest 131, the Knight Riders found themselves in trouble at 116-7, with Guyana’s bowlers exploiting a turning pitch. Veteran leg-spinner Imran Tahir (3-34) struck crucial blows, dismissing Kieron Pollard and Andre Russell in consecutive deliveries, while Moeen Ali’s tight four overs yielded just 11 runs.
