Premier welcomes Royal Princess Cruise Ship to Nevis

NEVIS – (February 1, 2010) Premier and Minister of Tourism, the Hon. Joseph Parry welcomed the Royal Princess Cruise Ship when it made its inaugural visit to Nevis on Wednesday, January 27, 2010.

A brief welcome and gift exchange ceremony took place on board the ship. Premier Parry and Marketing Officer, Ms. Tamika Lawrence presented gift baskets and literature about Nevis to the Captain, Mr. Ivan Jerman. In turn he presented a plaque with a picture of the ship to Mr. Parry.

During brief remarks, the Premier stated that he was pleased the Royal Princess Cruise ship had added Nevis to its itinerary and was hopeful Nevis would remain on the Ship’s Caribbean schedule in the future.

The 3,100 passenger cruise ship has 900 balcony staterooms and an entire deck of mini-suites which offer impressive private vistas.
