Division One Update: Week 17

Match Week 17 was a week of hat-tricks and goal feasts, in particular Rios Tyson’s four-goal masterclass for Molineux lit up a remarkable Friday night at Saddlers.

CHAMPIONSHIP RACE

Both Lodge Patriots and Garden Hotspurs have secured promotion to the SKNFA Premier League. The Division One Championship is awarded to the club with the best record at the end of the season. The title race between the two promoted clubs continues.

Match Week 17 Results

Thursday, April 9 — Saddlers Playing Field

CIBC Village Galaxy  1–0  Rivers of Living Water FC

Village Galaxy claimed a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Rivers of Living Water, with Davin Kelly’s stoppage-time goal right on the stroke of half-time proving to be the only difference between the sides. It was not a classic but it was three crucial points for Galaxy, who continue to cement their position in the standings. For Rivers, the defeat extends a miserable campaign — they remain anchored at the foot of the table.

Skelec Garden Hotspurs  2–0  KFC Trinity/Challengers United

Garden Hotspurs were professional and controlled, defeating Trinity/Challengers United 2-0 to maintain their pursuit of the Division One championship. Kisaviar Williams fired them ahead in just the 8th minute, setting the tone for a composed display. Shaquille Adams put the result beyond doubt with a second goal in the 65th minute. The clean sheet keeps Hotspurs’ goal difference strong — a factor that could yet prove significant in a championship race against Lodge Patriots decided by best record.

Friday, April 10 — Saddlers Playing Field

Fraites & Associates Molineux Pitbulls 7–2 Elco Ltd Security Forces United

The result of the week — and possibly of the entire Division One season. Rios Tyson put on one of the most devastating individual performances in the 2025/2026 campaign, scoring four goals to power Molineux Pitbulls to a staggering 7-2 victory over Security Forces United. Tyson struck in the 14th, 29th, 35th and 60th minutes in a relentless display that left Security Forces completely overwhelmed. Khamarl Wattley, Jahmanne Richardson and Alexis Charles added further goals in the closing stages to complete a remarkable scoreline.

Security Forces managed replies through Joshua Finch in the 30th minute and Shama Walters in the 43rd, but they were brief consolations in a night that belonged entirely to Molineux — and above all to Rios Tyson. His four-goal haul is the individual highlight of Match Week 17 and a performance that will live long in the memory of everyone at Saddlers Playing Field.

Mantab  2–2  MBT/Fast Cash Saddlers United

A compelling Friday night contest ended 2-2 as Saddlers United came from behind twice to snatch a point from Mantab. K’Jarnie Liburd gave Mantab the lead in the 11th minute, before a Dulani Carey own goal in the 50th minute levelled matters. Kirae Jarvis restored Mantab’s advantage in the 64th, but Raheem Joseph’s 89th-minute equaliser denied them all three points in a dramatic conclusion. A fair result between two evenly matched sides.

Sunday, April 12 — Saddlers Playing Field

607 Construction Lodge Patriots  6–0  Conaree Fireballs International

Lodge Patriots delivered the most emphatic performance of Match Week 17 — a crushing 6-0 demolition of Conaree Fireballs International that underlines why they remain at the top of the Division One standings. Javern Matthew was the standout performer, completing a hat-trick with goals in the 10th, 26th and 35th minutes. Pavel Wallace added a fourth in the 12th minute — just two minutes after Matthew had opened the scoring — before Aldren Gumbs rounded off an extraordinary first half with goals in the 19th and 28th minutes.

Remarkably, six of the goals arrived in the first 35 minutes, with Patriots leading 6-0 at half-time. It was a performance of breathtaking quality and the margin of victory significantly boosts Patriots’ goal difference in what remains a championship battle decided purely on best record.

Both Lodge Patriots and Garden Hotspurs won convincingly this week, meaning the gap at the top of the table remains tight. With the Division One championship the only prize left to play for — and both clubs already confirmed for next season’s Premier League — every point, every goal and every result between now and the final whistle of the season will matter. The title race is exactly that — a race.
