Residents Celebrate With PM Harris On His Birthday

(ZIZ News) — On Sunday morning, the residents of Constituency Number 7 joined Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris in celebrating his 51st birthday.

They worshipped at the Covenant Outreach Church in Phillips Village, where they were joined by other officials including the Hon. Ian Liburd, Permanent Secretary Osmond Petty and Special Envoy in the Office of the Prime Minister, Michael Powell.

The morning’s events included tributes in poetry, dance, and a performance by the constituency choir.

The constituency also presented a gift basket to the Prime Minister in gratitude for his service to the community.

The Prime Minister thanked the residents for their support over the years and pledged to continue to work in the best interest of St. Kitts and Nevis.

“To the country that has been so good to me, I say thanks and I pledge always to serve; as I have served in the past, in humility and in recognition that a special favour had been bestowed up on me by the opportunity to serve,” he said.

He promised to try to do his very best always in service of the people of St. Kitts and Nevis.

The church service was followed by a luncheon at Dr. Harris’ Constituency Office in Tabernacle.

Dr. Harris was born on December 06, 1964, and has served the people of St. Kitts and Nevis and Constituency 7 for 22 years.

He is a native of Tabernacle and was first elected as Member of Parliament for Constituency 7 in 1993 and has never lost in that seat.
