St Kitts and Nevis’ brand strengthened during Dubai visit
(SKNIS): Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris described his recent visit to Dubai and Abu Dhabi, as a sterling success and a promoter of “stronger loyalty for the St. Kitts and Nevis brand.”
He said this during his monthly press conference this morning (March 15) when he revealed that he had the opportunity to deliver three keynote addresses during his visit, which commenced March 05, 2016.
“We met and clarified concerns of several applicants and agents,” Prime Minister Harris said. “This will redound to the public good and stronger loyalty for the St. Kitts and Nevis brand. We answered the felt needs for the voice and visibility of St. Kitts and Nevis in the international citizenship marketplace. We met with investors and we met too with government officials in Dubai. In due course, the fruits of the labour of love will be enjoyed by all.”
Prime Minister Harris disclosed that his first address took place at the Mirage Hotel in Dubai where he met with over 300 citizens and well-wishers of St. Kitts and Nevis, who were principally from the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The event was sponsored by Bayat Legal Services – a boutique law firm, headquartered in Dubai, that specializes in business immigration, economic citizenship and corporate immigration, along with Range Development – an investment and hospitality company, based in Dubai, that operates across the Eastern Caribbean. He thanked all sponsors and contributors and noted his pleasure at seeing local personalities in attendance.
The second keynote address was delivered to over 200 participants at an international citizenship and residency summit also organized by Bayat Legal Services and the third was delivered at an event organized by Savory and Partners, a citizenship services group, operating out of Dubai.
The Prime Minister’s delegation to Dubai consisted of Attorney General Honourable Vincent Byron Jr., Cabinet Secretary, Josephine Huggins, and Her Excellency Ambassador, Constance Mitchum. The team was commended for carrying out particular engagements – the Attorney General for meetings with investors and other interested parties; Cabinet Secretary Huggins for participating in several panels on citizenship and residency; and Ambassador Mitchum for applying her knowledge and experience of the programme.
“We are now better tuned to the challenges and opportunities in the marketplace,” Prime Minister Harris said. “We are all better informed to make policy prescriptions for the consolidation and growth of our citizenship programme. We are better seized of the vast resources residing in that region and the need to incorporate our diverse citizenry-base in decisions of national development.”
Prime Minister Harris also commended Elsa Wilkin-Armbrister, Deputy Consul General at the Consulate in Dubai, for coordinating the visit.
