20th Firearm taken off the streets for 2010
ZIZ News…May 6, 2010 – The Police has stepped up their zero tolerance approach to violence and crime.
According to Inspector Vaughn Henderson, Press and Public Relations Officer of the police Force, Law enforcement continues work closely with the general public and are making significant inroads in the fight against illegal fire arms.
He stated in a release that at about 11:20 am on Thursday 6th May 2010, members of Anti Gang Unit carried out an intelligence led patrol and found one (1) .45 pistol and five(5) rounds of .45 ammunition in the Mc Knight area.
One 17 year old male was taken into police custody in connection with the find. Investigations are ongoing.
This is the 20th illegal firearm to be taken into custody for 2010.
