9-y-o St James twins feared drowned

CrimeSceneHST JAMES, Jamaica — A rescue team Monday night worked feverishly to recover two nine-year-old twin brothers who were swept away by flood water in their St James community which was pounded by heavy showers earlier on the afternoon.

The two boys have been identified as Brandon and Brayden Jones of a St Georges Drive, Cornwall Courts in St James address.

Reports are that about 3:00pm the students were returning from the Green Pond Primary School and upon reaching near their home one of them fell off a rail into a drain filled with water and was swept away by the strong current.

His brother was also swept away when he attempted to rescue his sibling.
