Tucker Clarke Secures 2026 Interprimary Championship

BASSETERRE: Tucker Clarke Primary School finished as the overall champions of the 2026 RAM’S Interprimary School Championships following two days of competition at the Kim Collins Athletic Stadium. The school topped the final medal count with 15 gold, 10 silver, and 10 bronze medals.

The champions dominated the relay events, winning the Under 9 and Under 13 Boys 4x100m, the Under 9 Girls 4x100m, and the Open Boys 4x400m. Davonjay Swanston further contributed to the school’s success by winning the Boys Outdoor Pentathlon with 2,418 points.

Dr. William Connor Primary School finished in second place overall with 11 gold, 17 silver, and eight bronze medals. The school showed strength in the sprint and distance categories, with Kamiyah Hanley sweeping the Under 7 Girls 60m and 110m. They also secured victories in the Under 13 Girls 4x100m and Open Girls 4x400m relays.

Sandy Point Primary School placed third with 10 gold and 11 silver medals. Calvert Gift was a standout performer for the school, winning the Under 11 Boys 100m, 200m, and 300m events. Bronte Welsh Primary School followed in fourth with nine gold medals, led by Derenique Warner’s victories in the Under 13 Girls 100m and 200m.

St. Paul’s Primary School rounded out the top five with eight gold medals. Dnazri Harris was a key contributor for St. Paul’s, securing wins in the Under 13 Boys 80m hurdles, high jump, and ball throw.

Other notable individual performances included Esmone Norford of Beach Allen Primary, who won the Girls Outdoor Pentathlon with 2,145 points. Dieppe Bay Primary’s Cassidy Henderson took gold in the Open Girls 1200m, while Tyrrell Williams Primary secured both the Boys and Girls Under 13 400m titles through Darrick Stephens and Barakah Wigley.
