Henderson Urges Women to Prioritize Breast Health

BASSETERRE — Parliamentary Representative for Central Basseterre Marsha Henderson is calling on women in her constituency and across the Federation to make time for breast examinations during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

In a message marking October, Henderson said women often spend much of their time caring for others while balancing responsibilities outside the home. She urged them to put themselves and their health on that list of priorities as well.

Henderson encouraged women to schedule a visit with their healthcare provider this month to have their breasts examined.

She also expressed support for women facing breast cancer, those who have survived the disease and families who have shared the experience.
