Bahamas PM Stays at Helm of Ruling Party after First Leadership Vote in 7 Years
Progressive Liberal Party (PLP) delegates declared Perry Christie the “right man for the job”, handing him a resounding vote to remain at the helm of the ruling party in the Bahamas.
In the party’s first leadership election in seven years, Christie last night crushed challenger Alfred Sears, securing 1,264 votes to his opponent’s mere 169.
