Cabinet hears of new initiatives to improve SCASPA’s efficiency

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, JULY 28TH 2010 (CUOPM) – Initiatives designed to improve the overall functioning and efficiency of the St. Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA) have been presented to Cabinet.

Minister of Tourism and International Transport, Sen. the Hon. Richard Skerritt, introduced to the Cabinet a delegation from SCASPA, which consisted of the Chairman, Mr. Linkon Maynard; the newly appointed General Manager, Mr. Terrence Crossman; the Financial Comptroller and the Adviser.

The delegation gave a report on SCASPA’s operations over the past few years and made projections with respect to the operations of the Authority.

The number of initiatives designed to improve the overall functioning and efficiency of the Authority included some re-organisation and reprogramming that would be necessary to achieve the identified targets.
