CARICOM Secretariat facilitates training sessions on Competition Policy and Law

(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) – The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat is facilitating a series of Training Sessions in the areas of Competition Policy and Law aimed at strengthening the technical competencies of key regional stakeholders in this field.

These sessions, funded under the 9th European Development Fund (EDF), Caribbean Integration Support Programme (CISP), are aimed at judges, lawyers, administrators and non-technical persons in the field of Competition Policy and Law. The sessions, which have been divided into three series have commenced in five Member States and sessions in the remaining seven Member States participating in the CSME will be facilitated shortly.

The Consortium of Menns SPRL and Benczek Rechtsanwalt SPRL of Brussels, Belgium is conducting the training which will run until 8 December 2010.

These Training Sessions are part of the CARICOM Secretariat’s on-going effort to strengthen the regional capacity regarding the understanding and practice of Competition Policy and Law.
