Count down to the official launch of Green Valley Festival

ZIZ NEWS…18 May 2010 – A few days from now the Green Valley Committee and the St Kitts Music Festival Committee, will jointly launch the 14th official staging of the Green Valley Community Festival.

In a brief ceremony in Cayon on Monday, LIME, the main sponsors of the event since its inception, came forward as usual, despite the universal economic situation.

LIME’s financial commitment will cover the Last Lap, Troupes of Parade and the J’ouvert Morning Jam. Mrs Laverne Caines, Vice President Corporate Communication for LIME, reinforced their commitment to the growth and development of the Cayon vicinity.

The clash of the Senior Calypso Monarch is slated for Saturday May 22nd 2010, where the defending champion is Singing Angie. The Chairman of the Calypso Sub-Committee, Mr Domminque Stevens, says everything is set and ready to go on Saturday.

The official launch is set for Thursday May 20th 2010.
