Discount of US$100 to Travel for St. Kitts Music Festival and International cricket

BASSETERRE May 2, 2010 – Regional airline LIAT is offering discounted fares on flights to St. Kitts this June, to make it even easier for Caribbean travelers to experience the St Kitts Music Festival and the preceding world-class cricket clash between the West Indies and South Africa. The much anticipated Cricket Test Match takes place June 18th to 22nd , and the 14th Annual St. Kitts Music Festival takes from June 24th to the 26th, 2010 at Warner Park.

In an effort to lower the cost of travel to St. Kitts for these two popular regional events, LIAT is offering regional travelers a special US$100 discount on the lowest available fares to St. Kitts, from 11 Caribbean destinations, including Antigua, Barbados, Dominica, Tortola, Grenada, Trinidad, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, St. Maarten, St. Thomas and St. Croix.

This special discounted fare applies only to persons traveling to St. Kitts between June 15th and June 30th, 2010, and bookings must be completed between May 5th to May 12th, and May 28th to June 4th, 2010.

Now in its 14th consecutive year, the St Kitts Music Festival attracts both locals and visitors alike. It features an unequalled array of musical styles on the popular market, including R&B, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Reggae, Soca, Dance Hall, Calypso, Gospel and Contemporary music. Past artists have included such prominent acts as John Legend, T-Pain, Michael Bolton, K.C. and the Sunshine Band, Wyclef Jean, Ne-Yo, Air Supply, Dionne Warwick, Billy Ocean, Sean Paul, Boyz II Men, King Konris, Stephen Marley, Regina Belle, Maxi Priest, Biggie Irie and Lord Nelson.

Meanwhile, it is also expected that LIAT will once again partner with St. Kitts as a major sponsor of the 14th Annual St. Kitts Music Festival.
