Federation’s booth attracts thousands at World Expo

ST. KITTS, MAY 7TH 2010 (CUOPM) – The Federation’s booth at the World Expo in Shanghai, China, has been attracting massive crowds that were amazed by the beautiful depiction of sights and scenes of the twin-island Federation.

The delegation headed by Ambassador Extraordinaire and Plenipotentiary, Her Excellency, Ms. Roslyn Hazelle, opened the Federation’s Booth at the World Expo 2010.

It was reported that over 300,000 tickets were sold or distributed for the Opening Day. Large crowds flocked the Caribbean Community’s Pavilion and made their way to each country’s booth within the pavilion.

St. Kitts and Nevis scenes included but are not limited to a replica of the St. Kitts Scenic Railway, Nevis Peak and Brimstone Hill Fortress.

The most popular scene in the booth was definitely the Anglican Church Clock Tower. Almost every visitor to the booth took time out to take a photo in front of the clock tower.

“The Federation’s presence at the Expo allows for the export of our unique culture, life, art and overall tourism product for all patrons to sample. Our tourism product is being placed on the world’s stage and has had an impressive review thus far. The team anticipates unprecedented promotional opportunities and proposes to strategically disseminate information regarding the Federation and the various components of its attractive investment potential,” said Ambassador Hazelle.

“Our participation provides us with the perfect opportunity to showcase St. Kitts and Nevis as a place to visit and invest. As a team we will leverage our unique and strategic advantages in anticipation of maximizing our potential to reach and communicate our message to as many of the 70 million expected visitors to the Expo Site during the next 184 days,” added Ambassador Hazelle.
