First local ‘Bring It’ bus tour creates excitement at Ferry Terminal

The St Kitts “Bring It” posse gathered at the St Kitts Marriot Resort prior to leaving for the promotional Bus Tour in support of the ICC WT20 WEST INDIES 2010 matches to be played at Warner Park Stadium, May 5-10. The next Bring It Bus Tour takes place at the Circus, Basseterre on April 13 at 12 noon.

ZIZ News…April 8, 2010 – As the Federation of St.Kitts and Nevis prepares to host the ICC WT20 the local organizing led by Val Henry is on a promotional drive to bring about the excitement leading up to the games.

One of the lucky fans who won the chance to view the games at Warner Park Stadium and also a free “Bring It” t-shirt.

In light of this the “BRING IT” bus tour stopped at the Ferry Terminal where persons got a chance to win a “BRING IT” t-shirt and get more information on the ICC WT20 WEST INDIES 2010 cricket matches in St Kitts.

The games in St Kitts are scheduled from May 5-10.

Events Manager Val Henry and Corporate Communications Manager Clement Ogarro told ZIZ News, the activities leading up to the games are on course and the ‘Bring It” bus tours will be making stops at various venues around the island. They stated that this is all part of promotional campaign to bring about an awareness in the island about the importance of the games and to encourage persons to support the teams that will be playing at various venues around the island. Warm up matches will be played in St. Pauls, Cayon and Conaree in St. Kitts. The Warner Park Cricket Stadium will be hosting matches in the preliminary round of the competition.

Though ICC WT20 matches will be played in four countries, “This event belongs to the entire region and is something of which all West Indians should be proud. The Caribbean will be hosting its second international cricket tournament within three years and the organizing committee is looking forward to seeing relatives and friends from neighbouring countries, including Jamaica, coming to celebrate this occasion and enjoy the cricket with us – and indeed with the rest of the world.
