Former St Vincent footballer murdered

Kingstown, St. Vincent (CMC) — Former national youth footballer Fitz-Allan Bramble died in hospital after being shot on Monday night, according to police.

Head of the Criminal Investigations Unit, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Sydney James, said that Bramble was “liming” at a shop in Sion Hill when three masked men approached on foot.

On realizing that the men were masked, Bramble went into the shop, where one of the men opened fired on him. He was taken to hospital, where he died, James said.

Bramble, 30, better known as “Wizzy” and “Little Terror” was son of former national goalkeeper, Fitzgerald Bramble.

No motive has been given for the death of the former Under 17 and Under 20 national player.
