Free Movement of persons to be discussed when the OECS Assembly meets

ZIZ News…March 22, 2013 — A motion on the Challenges to the Free Movement of Persons within the OECS Economic Union is among two items scheduled for debate when the OECS Assembly officially convenes on Tuesday March 26th 2013.

In preparation for this first official sitting, a Seminar has been planned to facilitate discussion of the Rules of Procedure for the OECS Assembly, and aspects of the Revised Treaty of Basseterre that support the work of the Assembly.

The Seminar will be conducted on Monday, March 25, 2013, (the day before the Sitting) and both events will take place at the Parliament Building in St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda commencing at 09:00 am.

OECS News Link’s Raymond O’Keiffe spoke with Antigua and Barbuda’s Ambassador to the OECS Mr. Collin Murdock regarding the motion on Challenges to the Free Movement of Persons within the OECS Economic Union” and other issues relating to the first official sitting of the OECS Assembly early next week.
