Gas truck overturns on the South east Peninsular

ZIZ News…Sept 28 2010 – One of the main suppliers of fuel in St. Kitts, SOL, received a slight setback earlier today when one of their trucks capsized.

According to information received, the delivery truck was traveling on the South East Peninsular Road close to Frias Bay when the driver apparently lost control and the heavy duty vehicle over turned.

Some of the fuel leaked onto the road following the impact of the accident but there was not much damage and no injuries as a result.

The Fire and Rescue Services was very quick to respond along with the officers of the Traffic Department and officials of SOL, the company which owns the truck.

Most of the afternoon the Fire and Rescue Services assisted by SOL was involved in the clean-up process.

The Police Traffic department is carrying out enquiries.
