German shot dead, wife receives head injury in Antigua

ST JOHN’S, Antigua (CMC) – Police are investigating the murder of a German who was shot and killed at his home on Tuesday.

They said Horst Scherping, 63, was found with a single gunshot wound to his head, while his wife, whose name was not disclosed had received head injuries. They gave no further details about the couple.

Reports are that four men, all dressed in dark clothing, forced their way into the couple’s home and allegedly robbed them of an undisclosed sum of money.

The police said they were appealing to anyone with information to contact them.
