Government promises help as families clean up flood damage

ZIZ Newsroom…July 21, 2010 – As the island wide clean up following the heavy rains continues, families in St.Pauls are picking up the pieces left by the destructive weather.

ZIZ news visited St.Pauls and spoke with some persons who were hit the hardest by the storm.

Several government ministers were also on hand to review the damage and see what can be done to help.

Prime Minister Douglas said he had been visiting the sites since early this morning and promised to give the families whatever help is available.

Minister of public works, The Hon Dr Earl Asim Martin, and minister of social development, The Hon Marcella Liburd were also on hand to assess the damage.
