Nevis records its fourth murder…Kittitian man shot to death

ZIZ News…March 18, 2010 – The Police in Nevis have confirmed the death of a young Kittitian man who was shot and killed on Thursday morning just after 11 o’clock.

According to a senior police official Karim Browne of Mc Knight in St. Kitts but who resided in Nevis was shot in the face and succumbed to his injuries following emergency surgery at the Alexandra Hospital.

It was reported that the young man was assisting his father in painting a house close to the Gingerland Secondary School when he was attacked by someone wearing a mask over his face. After committing the act the assailant then escaped into the bushes.

This latest murder brings the number of homicides in the Federation to nine with five in St. Kitts and four in Nevis.

Meanwhile unconfirmed reports reaching ZIZONLINE states that the security forces carried out a search on a young man at the Ferry Terminal whom it is alleged might have had something to do with the homicide.

The Police in Nevis are carrying out investigations into this latest murder.
