PM Congratulates Saint Lucian On Making Forbes List

Basseterre, St. Kitts, December 6, 2019 (St. Lucia Times ): Prime Minister Allen Chastanet has congratulated  Johanan Dujon on making the 30 under 30  2020 Forbes List in Manufacturing & Industry.

“We are so proud of Johanan and the amazing achievements he has had by establishing the Caribbean’s first indigenous agriculture biotech firm to fight invasive seaweed threatening the region,” Chastanet wrote on his official Facebook page on Wednesday.

“Every Saint Lucian should know this young man who started Algas Organics and converts invasive plant species into organic fungicides, pesticides, and crop fertilizers,” the PM stated.

“St. Lucia-based Algas has processed two million pounds of plants since 2015. Our young people like Johanan continue to show us how creative and innovative they can be. Very proud of you Johanan Dujon,” he wrote.

Over 15,000 online submissions were received for only 600 slots, making it a 4% acceptance rate, according to Forbes.

There are 20 categories in total.

The global media company explained in a release that Under 30 is a global platform, which comprises Forbes Under 30 lists featuring young game changers published in print and online all over the world; live summits in the U.S., Asia, Europe and Israel; and an Under 30 channel on Forbes.com.
