PM to open renovated Eden Gardens Wellness Resort Tuesday

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Prime Minister Portia Simpson-Miller will open the renovated Eden Gardens Wellness Resort and Spa on Lady Musgrave Road in Kingston tomorrow, Tuesday, March 25.

The Wellness Spa is part of the EHF Group of Companies and operated by the Eden Gardens Wellness & Lifestyle Limited.

Simpson-Miller will be the main speaker at the opening, scheduled for 6:00 pm.

The EHF Group of Companies is headed by executive chairman, Dr Henry Lowe, a noted Jamaican scientist who specializes in medicinal chemistry, and has been very active in the pursuit of official recognition of the use of cannabis (ganja) as a medicinal drug.

The Group also includes the private, not for profit organization, the Environmental Health Foundation (EHF), established in 1992 “to enhance the quality of people’s lives in Jamaica”, as well as a commercial entity, EHF Resource Development Limited, which has subsidiaries including Pelican Publishers Limited, a boutique publishing house with an emphasis on wellness and health publications, and Bio-Tech R&D Institute, a company engaged in the research, development and commercialization of health and wellness products from Jamaican plant-based materials.
