Police Investigate Shooting Incidents

May 31, 2010…Police Releases…On Saturday 29th May 2010 police responded to a report of shooting made by an anonymous caller which occurred at the Ferry Terminal in the vicinity of C & C Supermarket at approximately 5:00 am. Police investigations revealed, Erastus “Ras T” Peets 24 years old of John England Village was shot in right foot and lower side of back. Peets was transported by private vehicle to the JNF Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery and is presently warded in stable condition. There are no suspects in custody, however investigations are ongoing.

Also on that same day, Saturday 29th May, at approximately 11:40 pm police responded to a report of shooting which occurred at Millionaire Street. Investigations revealed that Joel Phillip 16 years old of Laguerite Village and Theon Audain 19 years old of Haynes Smith Village were shot and injured. Phillip was shot in right lower instep and sustained minor injuries. Audain was shot in the back of his head, ear and left shoulder. Audain was transported to the JNF Hospital in police vehicle where he underwent emergency surgery and was warded in stable condition. Phillip was also treated at the JNF Hospital and discharged. There are no suspects in custody, however investigations are ongoing.

And in other Police news…On Friday 28th May 2010, Jason Henderson 20 years old of Keys Village walked into the Basseterre Police Station at approximately 4:30 pm bleeding profusely and reported that while he was at Upper College Street Ghaut he was attacked by a male and stabbed with a knife. Police responded to the report and investigations revealed that Henderson was stabbed in his head with a knife used by his attacker. Henderson was transported to the JNF Hospital in private vehicle where he was treated and warded in stable condition. He was subsequently discharged. Police has one suspect in custody.
