Police Investigate Stabbing Death of 9-Year-Old

ZIZ News…July 11, 2010 – The entire Saddlers community has been in shock today following the stabbing death of a nine-year old girl.

Police responded to a call at 4:40 this morning where they found the girl’s body with a stab wound.

The district medical officer pronounced her dead on site and a post-mortem will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.

According to reports, the girl was at the time visiting her father in saddlers who left her with her grandmother.

A woman has been taken into police custody for questioning.

This is the 17th homicide committed in the federation for 2010.

Investigations are ongoing.
