Primary school principal praises donation of local company

ZIZ NEWS…19 May 2010 – The Principal of a St Kitts Primary School has praised the kind donation of a local company. Contec DT recently provided the Tyrell Williams Primary School in Old Road with concrete to enable them to construct a multi-purpose outdoor court.

According to the Principal of the Tyrell Williams Primary School, Mr Terrance Edwards, Contec’s support is an invaluable donation to the school. Mr Edwards also praised Contec’s vision which focuses on both academic development and physical education.

Also receiving high praise was Mrs Michelle Woodley who was the University of the West Indies student who came up with the idea of constructing a multi-purpose court. Mr Edwards thanked Mrs Woodley for choosing the Tyrell Williams School to be the benefactor of the new court.

The Manager of Corporate Service and Human Resource at Contec DT, Jacqueline Antoine-Rawlins, says that Contec’s donation to the school is just an example of the significance the company places on supporting the local community.

Through the joint effort of the Tyrell Williams School, Contec DT and Mrs Woodley, the school’s pupils will benefit from making use of the court which will encourage learning and also keeping fit and healthy.
