Prince-Drew to Host Caribbean Tech Conference in November
BASSETERRE — Diani Jimesha Prince-Drew, wife of the Prime Minister, will host a Caribbean Conference under the Fostering the Future Together initiative in St. Kitts and Nevis this November, she announced following a First Spouses’ luncheon hosted by United States First Lady Melania Trump in New York.
Prince-Drew attended the Fostering the Future Together Coalition Luncheon on the margins of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, joining fellow First Spouses and other distinguished leaders. During the gathering, Trump announced a series of regional Fostering the Future Together engagements, including the Caribbean conference to be hosted by Prince-Drew, a European Regional Meeting in Poland, and an ASEAN engagement in the Philippines.
“The luncheon provided a valuable opportunity to deepen our shared commitment to expanding opportunities for children through technology and education,” Prince-Drew said in a social media post. She said she also met with Trump, First Lady of Poland Marta Nawrocka, and First Lady of the Philippines Liza Araneta Marcos to further discuss the upcoming regional engagements.
The Caribbean conference will be held under the theme “Empowering Caribbean Children for the Digital Age,” with a focus on four key pillars: AI in education, EdTech tools, online protection and digital skills.
“We look forward to welcoming First Spouses, senior officials, technology leaders and other partners to Saint Kitts and Nevis this November,” Prince-Drew said, describing the gathering as an opportunity to bring together regional and international perspectives and advance practical action supporting Caribbean children in a digital world.
