Ras Brown, Rocco Dan Claim Third Soca Title
CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS — Ras Brown and Rocco Dan have secured an unprecedented three consecutive National Bank Power Soca Monarch titles, topping this year’s competition at the Nevis Culturama Festival with 470 points.
The victory extends the duo’s dominance of the Power Soca category, which they have now held since 2024, cementing their status among the festival’s most successful performers.
In the Groovy Soca category, Adowah successfully defended his crown for a second straight year, earning the 2026 National Bank Groovy Soca Monarch title with 421 points. The back-to-back win adds to his growing list of Culturama accolades.
The competition also produced several strong showings among the runners-up. Soca Empress and Pakiss placed first runner-up in the Power Soca category with 410 points, while KT Dan rounded out the top three with 397 points as second runner-up.
In the Groovy Soca division, Delly Ranks finished as first runner-up with 406 points, and Rocco Dan — who claimed the Power title alongside Ras Brown — also placed second runner-up in the Groovy category with 376 points.
Culturama, Nevis’s annual cultural festival, draws performers and audiences from across the Federation each year, with the Soca Monarch competitions ranking among its most anticipated events. This year’s results reaffirm the popularity of both Power and Groovy soca as showcases for the island’s musical talent.
Organizers and fans took to social media to congratulate the winners and runners-up, highlighting the closeness of the scores across both categories.
The Soca Monarch titles are among several crowns awarded during Culturama, which continues to celebrate Nevisian culture, music and heritage through a series of competitions and events held throughout the festival season.
