Slight increase in airline passengers in March

ST. KITTS, June 1, 2010 (CUOPM) – The St. Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA) is reporting a slight increase in passenger arrivals at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport in March this year compared to the same month in 2009 despite a six percent drop in incoming flights.

SCASPA’s Department of Finance and Statistics indicate that 11,210 passengers arrived by air in March this year, compared to 10,968, an increase of 2.21 percent.

Just over 11,000 passengers departed the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport in March this year, compared to 11,486 in March last year, a drop of 3.59 percent.

SCASPA disclosed that flights arriving dropped just over six percent to 584 compared to 621 in March 2009.

Departures also decreased 6.71 percent from 626 in March 2009 compared to 584 in March this year.
