Small plane crashes in Guyana; 3 injured
GEORGETOWN, Guyana (AP) — A small plane has crashed in the South American country of Guyana, injuring three people.
Civil aviation chief Zulfikar Mohamed says the Cessna 206 crashed Saturday while taking off from a small airport near the capital of Georgetown. He says one passenger is seriously injured.
Authorities say the plane was taking three passengers and cargo to a rural south-west mining community.
Mohamed says the crash is under investigation.
