St.Kitts/Nevis and Antigua/Barbuda Defence Forces carry out joint training

ZIZ News…June 4, 2010 – In a short ceremony held at Camp Springfield on 31 May 2010, the Commander of the St. Kitts and Nevis Defence Force (SKNDF), Lt. Colonel Patrick Wallace welcomed a contingent of soldiers from the neighboring Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force (ABDF) to St. Kitts Nevis. The soldiers will be undergoing several weeks of training while in the Federation.
According to Lt Col Wallace, the soldiers will be exposed to intermediate level training in field craft, map reading and skill-at-arms. The training will be conducted by a mix team of instructors from the SKNDF and the ABDF, led Lieutenant Troy B Lake of Antigua and Barbuda.
This training is the continuation of a long standing tradition of cooperation between the Defence Forces of the two Eastern Caribbean states, stretching back over thirty-five years.
