Suicide bomber kills 7 in Pakistan

Peshawar, Pakistan (CNN) — A suicide bomber in Pakistan killed seven people and wounded 28 more Friday in a suburb of Peshawar, officials said.

The bomber was targeting an armored personnel carrier, police spokesman Faisal Kamran said. He approached it on foot.

He was wearing 14 kilograms (30 pounds) of explosives, said policeman Najib ur Rehman.

Peshawar is in the country’s northwest, near the volatile Khyber Agency.

There has been no claim of responsibility for the attack.
