TDC, LIME congratulate PM Douglas

ST. KITTS, FEBRUARY 12TH 2010 (CUOPM) – The St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla Trading and Development Company (TDC) is hailing the appointment of the Hon. Patrice Nisbett as the Federation’s new Attorney General and has pledged its continued support to the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party Administration.

TDC Chairman, Mr. Michael Morton, in congratulating Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas on his St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party’s victory and his re-appointment as Prime Minister for a fourth consecutive term said the company looks forward to partnering with his Government “for the betterment of our fair Nation.”

“We commend the initiative to include an elected parliamentarian from Nevis as part of the sitting Federal Government and express the hope that this move fosters greater unity, cooperation and understanding between the two islands of our Federation,” said the TDC Chairman in a February 8th letter.

Mr. Morton told Prime Minister Douglas that as his historic consecutive fourth term begins, TDC “takes the opportunity to recommit itself to its Mission Statement of contributing meaningfully to the economic, social and cultural advancement of our nation.”

He said TDC “therefore pledge our continued support for the Government and its programmes aimed at building the Federation and improving the lives of all its peoples.”

County Manager for LIME St. Kitts and Nevis, Mr. David Lake in his message to Prime Minister Douglas expressed best wishes as “you exercise your new mandate to lead our fair land over the next five years. We pray God’s blessing on you, your government and our people.”

“LIME looks forward to working with you and your distinguished team of Honourable Ministers to tackle the numerous challenges that our country faces today, in an effort to meet the high goals that you have set for a brighter tomorrow,” said Mr. lake.

He said LIME is aware of the “immensity of the task that lies before you, but please be assured of the continued full support and cooperation of LIME during your new term and our willingness to accompany you and our people on the journey to build a country founded on justice, peace and reconciliation, where the fullness and dignity of life will be the only daily experiences of each and everyone.”
