TDC offers assistance to Sandy Point Fire Victims
Mr. Leslian Daniel, Supervisor, TDC Sandy Point branch presenting Ms. Gweneth Pennyfeather with a symbolic hammer to assist with the rebuilding process of her home
St. Kitts, Feb 25 2010 – In the wake of the recent devastating house fire in Sandy Point, the TDC Group of Companies, through its Sandy Point branch, came to the aid of the Burt and Pennyfeather families to help them with their recovery efforts.
The business house responded favourably to a formal request to partner with the Sandy Point based Community Improvement and Personal Empowerment Organization (CIPEO), to provide assistance for immediate reconstruction.
Mrs. Jonelle Rawlins-Drew, TDC Client Relations and Marketing Manager, and Mr. Leslian Daniel, TDC Sandy Point branch Supervisor, presented Ms. Gweneth Pennyfeather (a survivor and victim) with building materials to help with the renovation efforts of her damaged home.
In making the Corporate contribution to Ms. Pennyfeather, Mrs. Drew expressed words of compassion and encouragement and pledged the Companies’ willingness to support the family as they seek to rebuild their lives.
“On behalf of the entire TDC family, we share in your sadness at this time. This contribution is our way of showing you we care and understand your situation. We are happy to make this donation of building supplies to further assist with the ongoing rebuilding process,” stated Drew.
A grateful and still shaken Pennyfeather accepted the donation with a tearful thank you.
The brief but significant humanitarian presentation took place at the TDC Sandy Point branch, a conduit Order and Distribution Centre of the Home and Building Depot, for a variety of office, household, and construction products.
