March 6, 2013 — The Permanent Representative of Nicaragua and Chair of the Permanent Council of the OAS, Ambassador Denis Moncada, Sends Condolences to the People of Venezuela.

The Chair of the Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS), Ambassador Denis Moncada Colindres, Permanent Representative of Nicaragua, sent expressions of deep sorrow and heartfelt condolences to the people of Venezuela on behalf of the Permanent Council of the OAS on the passing this afternoon of the illustrious Commander President Hugo Rafael Chávez Frias.

Ambassador Moncada also offered a heartfelt recognition and tribute to the political career and legacy of President Chávez as a leader, president, humanist and statesman.

The Chair of the Permanent Council also extended condolences to the family of President Chávez.
