St. Kitts (June 10, 2010) – The upcoming St. Kitts Music Festival Will be without the previously announced performance by Tito Jackson.

Festival Chairman Faron Lawrence made that announcement today at press conference held at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort.

“Tito’s scheduled performance in this year’s St Kitts Music Festival has been cancelled. It is our understanding he has belatedly decided to join his brothers in a recently announced reunion concert in Rome, Italy on June 25, the 1st anniversary of his brother Michael’s passing,” Lawrence said. “In spite of Tito’s best efforts to meet both commitments, it has now been determined that the Rome engagement will not allow participation in the St Kitts Music festival this year.”

According to Mr Lawrence, “We have received the sincere regrets of Tito’s management and agent who have apologized for this unforeseen development beyond their control.”

Headlining the June 24th to 26th St. Kitts Music Festival are international super-star and 10-time Grammy winner, singer, producer, and songwriter Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, Grammy nominee and son of reggae icon Bob Marley, Ky-mani Marley, Grammy-nominated Jamaican reggae group Third World Band, the popular Capleton, as well as Caribbean soca stars Bunji Garlin and Fay Ann Lyons-Alvarez, Soca Legend Ellie Matt, and local rising music sensation Infamus.
